My stay at this hotel was quite a mixed bag. While the location near Spring Lake offered some lovely views, I had some issues with the service and cleanliness that dampened my experience. The on-site restaurant served good food, but I was disappointed that certain amenities were closed during my visit. Overall, it’s a decent choice, but there are definitely some areas that need improvement, especially given the price point.
Rooms
6.0
The room promised a beautiful view of the lake, but there was a roof obstructing part of it. The slider didn't have a screen, which made it uncomfortable to open it during cooler weather without running the air conditioning.
Service
7.0
Service was a bit slow due to high occupancy, but the staff tried their best to accommodate guests despite being understaffed. However, there were moments when it felt a bit rushed or impersonal.
Location
7.0
The hotel is on Spring Lake, providing a pretty setting for strolls along the boardwalk, but it’s not within walking distance to the shops or restaurants in Grand Haven, requiring a drive.
Dining
8.0
The restaurant offered good meals, with both indoor and outdoor dining options, but we were disappointed to find the Tiki bar and pool closed during our visit.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were satisfactory, but there were areas outside that showed signs of neglect, like cobwebs and mud dobbers on the exterior, which detracted from the overall experience.

The hotel had a few redeeming qualities, such as the convenient proximity to the marina and local attractions. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by a lack of cleanliness in the rooms and the unprofessional demeanor of the staff. The dining experience at the restaurant was one of the few highlights, but overall, the hotel fell short of expectations, leading us to cut our stay short.
Rooms

The rooms seemed a bit run down and in need of maintenance, with flying insects upon arrival and a lack of basic supplies like washcloths. Given these issues, I wouldn’t rate them highly.
Service

While some staff members tried to help, many seemed overwhelmed and unfriendly, which diminished our overall experience.

We enjoyed our meal at the restaurant, where the waitstaff was attentive and following safety protocols. This was perhaps the highlight of our stay.
Facilities

The pool area appeared well-maintained, but there were fewer chairs available than usual, possibly due to safety measures.

My stay was quite good overall. The hotel boasts a beautiful view of the river, and the atmosphere is lovely. However, I did find the room size a bit cramped. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, my check-in experience was frustrating, as I had to wait quite a while for my room. I enjoyed the amenities, especially the pools, but there could be more shaded areas around the property.

Overall, I enjoyed the unique amenities like outdoor games, but the dining options could use improvement.
